Fall is here y’all, and I am SO excited! With the weather finally dropping in Texas, it is officially time for fall baking. I am honestly not the best cook, pretty terrible actually, but I love baking, especially when it comes to this time of year (and Christmas of course). There are a couple of recipes that are my go to when I just want to cuddle up on the couch and give into my sweet tooth. I love these recipes because they are super simple, so if you’re not very smooth in the kitchen like me, this is for you! I’m going to share my two favorite sweet treat recipes if you are like me and love to cozy up with something bad for you, lol!
I am obsessed with pumpkin bread, give me all of the carbs! This is my #1 go to for all of fall + winter, it never gets old! The best part about this recipe is it makes 3 loaves, so if you’re going to someone’s house for a dinner party or holiday gathering it works perfectly to make a good amount! Here’s how you make it:
3 cups sugar
1 medium can solid pack pumpkin
2/3 cup water
1 cup cooking oil
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
3 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
2 teaspoons baking soda
Step 1: Combine sugar, eggs, can of pumpkin, water and cooking oil in a mixing bowl

Step 2: Add in salt, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and baking soda + mix well
Step 3: Add pecans if desired
Step 4: Fold into 3 bread pans and fill halfway (don’t forget the PAM like I did making them this time!)
Step 5: Bake at 350 degrees for one hour
MOST IMPORTANT PART– As soon as you take it out of the oven , flip it out of the pan onto tin foil and wrap it tightly until it’s cooled. This will make it super moist and amazing! The trick to keeping it this delicious is keeping left overs wrapped up tightly in tin foil after serving. Enjoy!
Peanut Butter Balls
My family is obsessed with peanut butter balls! For as long as I can remember this was one of the main reasons my siblings, cousins, and myself looked forward to going to Grammy’s house so much! My favorite thing about peanut butter balls (now that I’m the one who occasionally has to make them) is that they are so super quick!
1 cup sugar
1 cup white karo
12 oz jar of peanut butter
4 cups Rice Krispies
Step 1: Mix all of the ingredients together in a mixing bowl
MOST IMPORTANT PART– Before you roll them, take a stick of butter and coat your hands so it doesn’t stick to you. Keep it out because you will have to reapply!
Step 2: Roll in balls as big as desired
